Michal Rotem
Michal is a Jewish citizen of Israel. She works in the southern part of Israel (the Negev) amongst bedouin communities. These bedouins, who are citizens of Israel, are denied basic human rights, including the right to their land, by their own government. Michal has been particularly involved in the struggle of Al Arakib—an unrecognized Bedouin village, which has been demolished more then forty times in the past two and a half years.
